VCAT serves the community by resolving disputes, and making legal decisions about human rights cases in Victoria, Australia.

We help resolve a range of disputes including renting, guardianship, powers of attorney, products and services, and owners corporations.

We are part of Victoria's court system. Court Services Victoria provides our administration and facilities.

The law that establishes VCAT and governs our operations is the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998.

We welcome questions about how VCAT works but we can't comment on specific VCAT cases or government policy.
